Young, New Yorkers with Brit rock sensibilities, Five O'Clock Heroes would appear to be the latest new proposition offered in the wake of the Arctic Monkeys. It's hard to believe these guys aren't from Brighton or somewhere with a real Brit pedigree, though. Sounding like a not so subtle blend of the aforementioned Monkeys and the Jam is a painful proposition initially, but after about 15 listens the 'Skin Deep, woh woh oh' hook does start to bite. I'm sure if you don't pull the hook out the album will prove equally alluring.
