It is an uneasy period in human history, with the nation states of Euromerica and New Shanghai vying for supremacy a factory worker, Douglas Quaid, begins to question this new world order. With the questions mounting in his head it seems that the only thing that can clear his head is a decent vacation and Rekall looks to be the company to help him out with this desire.
Rekall is a company that can turn your dreams into real memories, whether they are dreams of being a great sporting hero or even a super-spy. Despite his capable but humdrum life and the companionship of his beautiful wife this mind-trip seems like just the thing for Quaid. When the procedure goes terribly wrong, things begin to go from bad to worst and Quaid soon finds himself a hunted man. On the run from the police and even his wife - controlled by Chancellor Cohaagen, leader of the supposedly free world - Quaid teams up with a rebel fighter in a bid to find the head of an underground resistance group and stop Cohaagen.
The line between fantasy and reality gets blurred and the fate of this world hangs in the balance as Quaid discovers his true identity, his true love, and his true fate.
