Berlin electronic duo The Das have released an ominous video for their brand new track 'Parallel Worlds' which is set to feature on their upcoming album 'Freezer' out later this summer on August 15th 2014 through Sinnbus.
It's a simply shot video featuring the band performing in black in white with a more colourful projection of a burning car on the wall behind them featuring two firefighters working to put it out. The oscillating synth hum in the background at the beginning of the song sets up a dark tone for the rest of the track, which introduces a melancholy synth melody, slow drums, breathy vocals and poignant lyrics. It is a step away from other tracks on their forthcoming album, exploring a much gloomier side of their genre.
The duo, who are Fabian Fenk and Anton K. Feist, first appeared in 2012 with their 'Fresh Water' EP. Their last EP, however, 'Speak Your Mind Speak' became a hit with various music publications. Though no upcoming tour dates are confirmed for later this year, the band have already played a string of live dates in the UK and Europe earlier this Spring. In February they announced that their collaborative track with JAW entitled 'Lovebones' is due for release on May 1st 2014.
