The world of football in the nineties probably saw some of its most incredible moments, and that includes the enlistment of star players David Beckham, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Paul Scholes on to the Manchester United football team. The team remains to be the biggest club in the UK and those six boys became unforgettable in helping to re-enforce that, perplexing the nation with their impressive athletic dexterity. The nineties also saw a genuine sense of unity amongst footballers - an attitude that improved the sporting world and made English football what it is today.
This sports documentary brushes past all the negativity surrounding football and gets to the real meaning behind it all - a meaning that was so strongly felt during Manchester United's baffling wins during the 1990s. 'The Class of '92' has been directed by Benjamin Turner and Gabe Turner ('In the Hands of the Gods') with interviews from the likes of French football legends Zinedine Zidane and Eric Cantona, 'Slumdog Millionaire' director Danny Boyle and even former Prime Minister Tony Blair. We also get a close insight into the relationship between Beckham, Butt, Giggs, Neville, Neville and Scholes and what it was that made them work together so seamlessly on the pitch. The movie is set to be released in cinemas on December 1st 2013.
