Tobey Marshall is a highly skilled street racer who’s recently been released from a long sentence in prison after being framed for a crime he never committed by a scheming rich businessman. When he sets out on a revenge mission to take part in a race across country, his former friend and ex-partner betrays him and he is forced to escape the law once again.
‘Need For Speed’ is based on the Electronic Arts video game series of the same name that first came about in 1994. It is a racing game whereby players can race a variety of cars on different courses and there has been 22 different games released, the latest being ‘NFS: Rivals’ which will be available on PC, PS3 and Xbox360 in November 2013. The last game to be released was ‘NFS: Most Wanted’ which was also made available on iOS, Mobile and PSVita. The action-packed upcoming film has been directed by stuntman Scott Waugh ('Act of Valor') and written by John Gatins ('Hard Ball', 'Real Steel', 'Flight'), George Nolfi ('Ocean's Twelve', 'The Bourne Ultimatum') and George Gatins in his screenwriting debut. ‘Need For Speed’ the movie is due for release in cinemas across the UK on March 14th 2014.
