Best friends Jozef, Philip and Lars are just your average adventurous French guys loving wine, women and partying, but with one difference; they are all in some way handicapped. Jozef is blind, Philip is wheelchair bound being paralysed below the neck and Lars is suffering from a brain tumour that has also landed him in a wheelchair. As much as they try and live life to the fullest, each of them is struggling with one thing missing: sex. They are all virgins determined to have their first sexual experience and so decide to embark on a road trip to sunny Spain to visit a brothel while telling their families that they are going on a wine tour. However, their journey becomes so much more significant than where they want to be, cementing a rare and impenetrable brotherly bond and seeing them join forces with their female minibus driver, Claude.
'Come As You Are', originally titled 'Hasta la Vista', is a heartwarming, feel-good movie with a positive outlook on disability, proving that it doesn't have to reduce one's quality of life like people think. It has been directed by Geoffrey Enthoven ('Children of Love', 'The Only One', 'Wittekerke') and written by Pierre De Clercq ('Flikken', 'A Perfect Match') with help from Asta Philpot and Mariano Vanhoof in their screenwriting debuts. It is soon to hit the UK on June 7th 2013.
