Project A Review

Not a personal favorite, though Project A has earned the raves of many as Jackie Chan's best movie. The story of pirates off the coast of old-style Hong Kong and Chan's naval officer-turned-policeman who tries to stop them is a bit derivative of any number of pirate movies, but it's the fight scenes -- especially those with sidekick Sammo Hung -- that make Project A a winner. Shot before Chan had broken every bone in his body twice, the spry Chan had such agility and quickness it's truly frightening to watch.

Aka 'A' gai waak.
