Days Of Thunder

"Unbearable"

Days Of Thunder Review

Good God.

In Days of Thunder, Tom Cruise tries to do for NASCAR racing what he did for bartending in Cocktail. Which is to say: Nothing.

Cruise stars as Cole Trickle (stop laughing!!!), a racer who just can't be controlled (see also Top Gun) and defies his mentor (Robert Duvall, embarassing himself here) and falling in love (with Nicole Kidman -- both on screen and in real life, and we know how that turned out).

If you believe Cary Elwes as a race car driver, you'll also appreciate that Cruise gets a story credit.
