American musician KENT ROSS has pleaded guilty to lying on an immigration form in a bid to help Mexican actress Fernanda Romero gain U.S. residency.
Ross formally entered his plea in court on Friday (04Feb11) after he was accused of making a false statement to officials investigating his marriage to the Drag Me to Hell star.
He has admitted to lying about living with Romero, who had been residing in the U.S. for 10 years before marrying Ross in 2005.
They were arrested in April (10) over allegations they married to allow the actress permanent residency, but lived separately and dated other suitors.
According to the Associated Press, Ross is due back in court on 25 April (11) for sentencing, but prosecutors have not pressed for a prison term.
Romero pleaded guilty to making a false statement last month (Jan11).
