Fergie has admitted she's not rushing to get her new album out because she wants to make sure it's perfect.
Fergie doesn't want her new album filled with ''a bunch of random songs.''
The 41-year-old singer made her musical comeback with her single 'M.I.LF.$' in July - taken from her upcoming release - but has admitted fans may have a little wait for the complete album 'Double Dutchess' because she wants it to be perfect.
Speaking to PopCrush, she said: ''I just want to get things right and I just don't want a whole bunch of random songs out there. I just wanted it to really mean something 'cause it's my second (solo) album.''
And the blonde beauty thinks fans will be shocked when they hear the songs on the LP as they're very different to type of tracks she dropped with her band Black Eyed Peas.
She explained: ''It's totally different, because with the Peas, we're all just partying and going to clubs. (But) with this, there's some of that on the album, but there's also that part where it's like, I get to open the pages of my journal and let people really in. It's like serving a meal, I didn't just want it to be one thing.''
Fergie is hoping to release the album at the beginning of next year but has admitted, although it's been a long way, it'll certainly be ''worth it.''
She said recently: ''I am so ready for this album to come out, you have no idea. I've turned it in, it's done and it's coming out at the beginning of the year. I'm sorry it's taken so long to those of you who have been waiting so long but I have a kid and a husband and I need to sleep and I just really care about it. But I hope it will be worth it.''
