Fergie got some help from her friends to avoid falling balloons at the launch party of 'The Black Eyed Peas Experience' video game at the Supperclub in Los Angeles on Monday night (21.11.11).
Fergie's friends stopped her make-up from being smudged by balloons at a party by beating them away from her face.
The singer was at a bash to launch the Black Eyed Peas' new video game 'The Black Eyed Peas Experience' at the Supperclub in Los Angeles on Monday night (21.11.11) and guests were given 'Star Wars'-style light sabres to hit falling balloons with.
Fergie was unhappy when the tumbling rubber decorations started hitting her in the face and so her quick-thinking pals used their toy sabres to bat them away.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "They (the balloons) were hitting Fergie. So what do her pals do? Bat them away with light sabres so they didn't mess up her make-up and hair."
Fergie was joined at the party by her bandmates Taboo and Apl.de.Ap but will.i.am couldn't make the event because he was sick.
The 36-year-old star is thrilled with the finished video game - in which players must dance their way through the Black Eyed Peas' music - and thinks developers Ubisoft have done a great job.
She said: "Ubisoft has been so wonderful. They did us Justice. It's a huge compliment."
At the end of the night, the trio performed an impromptu show, featuring several of the group's biggest hits.
