10 Worst Films of 2010

It would be easy to fill this list with rubbish like Mega Piranha or Vampires Suck, so I have limited my list to studio films that made some attempt at quality, dubious as it might have been...

1. OLD DOGS

John Travolta and Robin Williams have made bad movies in their careers, but this appallingly lame "comedy" takes the prize.

2. ALL ABOUT STEVE

Just before winning her Oscar, Sandra Bullock had to endure the release of this comedy stinker in which she's both ugly and unlikable. No mean feat.

3. GROWN UPS

Adam Sandler gathered all of his old friends for this reunion comedy that was very short on laughs and far too heavy on sentimental sap.

4. JONAH HEX

It probably looked good on paper, but this chaotically violent comic book adaptation starring Josh Brolin and Megan Fox is almost unwatchable.

5. THE WOLFMAN

Multiple directors and studio meddling made sure that this big-budget remake starring Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins was more laughable than scary.

6. DUE DATE

This comical road trip has its moments, thanks to Robert Downey Jr and Zach Galifianakis, but the script focuses on bitter anger rather than humour.

7. TAKERS

This loud, violent heist thriller strains so hard to be gritty and cool that it forgets to create believable characters or situations.

8. CHATROOM

An interesting idea for a teen horror movie is turned into a simplistic, melodramatic dud without a single character we care about.

9. REPO MEN

Jude Law and Forest Whitaker star in this futuristic action movie that's brutally violent and staggeringly stupid.

10. TRON: LEGACY

The year's biggest disappointment was this 28-years-later sequel, which looks amazing but forgets to include a coherent, involving story.
