Flowers Announce Fear Of Men Support In UK Autumn 2014 Tour

Flowers Announce Fear Of Men Support In UK Autumn 2014 Tour

With the release of their debut album Do What You Want To, It's What You Should Do and launch party at St Pancras Old Church on Monday 8 September, Flowers are also thrilled to announce that they will be the main support for Fear of Men for their September/October tour. With Flowers tapping in to minimalist, yet noisy pop gems for their intense live shows, they'll be meeting Fear of Men's understated pop hooks, they will prove to be a double bill made in heaven!

On their debut album Do What You Want To, It's What You Should Do (out Sept 8/9 (Fortuna POP!/Kanine) , London trio Flowers syntheize the kinetic energy and raw vulnerability of their live shows into fourteen deceptively simple pop songs. Exploring the gamut of emotions that accompany coming of age, the songs carry listeners from heartbreak to carefree happiness and everything in between. The album was produced by Bernard Butler, who was on hand to help them capture the emotion and beauty of their live performances.

Flowers' genius is in their ability to convey a remarkable amount of emotion with minimal instrumentation. Rachel possesses one of those beautiful pop voices to die for, with echoes of Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins), Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star) and Harriet Wheeler (The Sundays), whilst Sam's guitars chime and churn with an incredible intensity and Jordan's drums rip right through with urgency and precision, resulting in a beautiful album that conjures up a strange and entrancing sort of magic. Haunting, mesmerizing and intense, Do What You Want To, It's What You Should Do is an impressive calling card from a sensational new band.
