Steps lead singer Claire Richards has admitted she mimes ''certain bits'' on their current The Ultimate Tour.
The lead vocalist with the 'One for Sorrow' group is appearing on The Ultimate Tour, but admitted in a documentary recorded before they hit the road she would have to mime some parts.
In Sky Living show 'Steps On The Road' she said: ''That amount of singing every single night, is quite tough going.

Former Steps singer IAN 'H' WATKINS has scuppered plans for a reunion of the British pop group, because he has just landed the lead role in a GBP1 million ($1.95 million) London production of musical FAME.
Watkins - who was due to reunite with old bandmates Faye Tozer, Lisa Scott-Lee, Lee Latchford-evans and Claire Richards for a comeback tour later this year (07) - has become hot property in the theatre world after winning the role of NICK in the West End play.
A source says, "Ian's had too many theatre offers. The others were disappointed but understand."
Steps achieved UK chart success in the late 1990s with hits including STOMP and TRAGEDY, but split in 2001.
Former Steps star IAN 'H' WATKINS has publicly confirmed he is gay and has been secretly dating his former manager for 10 years.
The pair, who split up a few months ago, kept their relationship secret because the British singer feared fans' reactions to the revelation, especially in his hometown in Wales.
He says, "I come from a small valley in Wales and it just wasn't the thing to do to be gay. People get married at 21 where I come from and if you don't do that, you're questioned.
"I could never have done this (come out) years ago, never. I was still coming to terms with it myself. But I'm comfortable with who I am now and I want everyone to know.
"I feel like a weight's coming off my shoulders. It's nice. I'm glad I'm doing this and I feel it's the right time."
Watkins shot to fame in 1997 with Steps and fellow bandmates LEE LATCHFORD EVANS, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer and Claire Richards.
British pop band Steps are considering a comeback, according to former star Lee Latchford-evans.
The singer, who was recently sacked from MTV supergroup UPPER STREET, is desperate to revive his flagging career and hints his ex-bandmates may help him find chart success again.
The BETTER BEST FORGOTTEN hitmakers split in 2001 but, following a recent explosion of pop reunions in the UK, Latchford-Evans is confident they can make a comeback too.
He tells MTV, "You shouldn't rule out a Steps comeback. I know FIVE are doing it, and we were the biggest pop act in the UK at the time, so why not.
"I'm not sure about a new career and new albums, but as for a tour or whatever, why not? I don't think any of us would rule it out but it'd have to be right time. I'd love to do some of it as Steps was then and some of it as Steps moving on. Like an acoustic version of Steps or whatever."
As well as Latchford-Evans, Steps comprised Claire Richards, Faye Tozer, IAN 'H' WATKINS and LISA SCOTT-LEE.
Former Steps singer Faye Tozer has hinted the cheesy 1990s pop group may reunite.
The TRAGEDY hitmaker is still in contact with her former bandmates Claire Richards, IAN 'H' WATKINS, LEE LATCHFORD EVANS, Lisa Scott-Lee, whose solo careers have failed to match the worldwide success of Steps.
She says, "The record companies have been asking us for years. But because we are all busy, it hasn't happened.
"We meet up regularly and the connection between us is still thriving.
"I think we will come around to reforming at some stage, but it will happen when everyone has time."
British chart-toppers Steps have reportedly been offered a $5.4 million (GBP3 million) deal to reunite after a five-year hiatus.
The pop quintet, best known for pop hits including ONE FOR SORROW, sold more than 30 million albums worldwide before singer H's decision to quit the group lead to an acrimonious split in 2001.
Promoters hope to mirror the success of British boy band Take That, who are embarking on a sell-out UK tour and forthcoming studio album after reuniting in November (05).

British musicians have started a campaign to force miming artists to be 'outed' on TV, claiming it is unfair to audiences when pop stars fake singing live.
The Musicians' Union (MU) want broadcasters to flash a logo on screen, telling viewers if the performance includes pre-recorded or mimed singing.
MU assistant general secretary HORACE TRUBRIDGE says, "Just as when you buy a can of beans and it tells you what's in the beans, we think if you are going to buy a ticket for a show or watch a band on the TV, you should know exactly what it is you are buying and what you are watching."

Scott-Lee's former bandmates Claire Richards, Faye Tozer, LEE LATCHFORD EVANS and IAN 'H' WATKINS have been in talks to reunite, however Scott-Lee is adamant she wants to concentrate on her career as a solo star.
The pretty brunette was dumped by MERCURY RECORDS in March (04) after her second solo single TOO FAR GONE only got to number 11 in the British charts.

Pop group Steps are planning to reunite for another crack at the British charts, three years after they split - if they can convince former member LISA SCOTT-LEE to join them
The TRAGEDY hitmakers hung up their outfits for good on Boxing Day 2001 (26DEC01) and any hopes of a reconciliation looked doomed after a bust-up between the five members, LEE LATCHFORD EVANS, Faye Tozer, Scott-Lee, CLAIRE RICHARDS and IAN 'H' WATKINS.
But four of the five-piece, who sold a staggering 12 million albums, have reconciled - and are desperately trying to persuade Scott-Lee to abandon her floundering solo career in favour of a return to Steps.

The previously squeaky-clean pop beauty is off to Los Angeles this month
(APR03) to record her debut solo album, which she says will be "guitar-based"
Faye gushes, "I'm working with the people behind Pink and CHRISTINA
AGUILERA's last albums. My solo album will be full of a lot more real emotion.
This album is going to be full of pain and angst. In Steps we were just like
puppets. Now I can
do what I want and it is so refreshing."
