New York's Empire State Building will dim it's lights tonight in tribute to KING KONG star Fay Wray, who died on Sunday (08AUG04) aged 96.
The actress' most famous film scene featured her hanging in giant ape King Kong's grasp from the top of the skyscraper in the 1933 movie.
A statement on the Empire State Building's website reads, "We are saddened by the passing of Fay Wray, a wonderful actress and dear friend of the Empire State Building."
The lights on the Manhattan building's spires will be dimmed for fifteen minutes at 9.30pm (EST) tonight (10AUG04).10/08/2004 21:14
