Kelly Clarkson gave a stunning rendition of 'My Country, 'Tis of Thee' at Barack Obama's inauguration in Washington yesterday (21.01.13).
Accompanied by the United States Marine Band, the 30-year-old singer overcame initial nerves to sing a rendition of 'My Country, 'Tis of Thee'.
She tweeted: ''What an honor to be a part of history! Obama's presence was powerful and his words unforgettable. It's a proud day for America! (sic)''

Rita Ora has tweeted her excitement at joining a host of performers at Perez Hilton's 'One Night ... In Los Angeles' concert on Thursday (06.09.12).
The 'R.I.P' hitmaker and acts including The Saturdays, Far East Movement, IM5, Walk The Moon, Iggy Azalea and Static Revenger will take to the stage at the music event at the Belasco Theatre which will be hosted by blogger Perez with all proceeds going to VH1 Save the Music.

Lady GaGa leads the nominations for the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) with six nods.
The 'Edge Of Glory' hitmaker - who bagged five awards at last year's event - is up for Best Female, Best Live Act, Best Pop Act, as well as the Biggest Fans accolade for her dedicated troupe of "little monsters" and both Best Song and Best Video for 'Born This Way'.
Closely following the 25-year-old singer in the nominations are Katy Perry - who will battle it out against Lady Gaga in the Best Female, Best Pop, Best Female and Best Song categories for 'Firework' - and Bruno Mars with four nods apiece.

The 'Lollipop' rapper and his crew were targeted by a man who put the substance into the air ducts Of Montreal club La Mouche, where the hip-hop star was hosting an afterparty following his gig at the Bell Centre in Montreal last night (17.08.11).
The ventilation system was compromised following the stunt, which caused everyone to be evacuated.

JLS say it is coincidence Jennifer Lopez's track 'On the Floor' and their latest single 'She Makes me Wanna' share some of the same lyrics.
The pop group's new single, 'She Makes me Wanna', features the line "L.A. to Africa," which is also used in Jennifer Lopez' recent hit 'On the Floor' - but the band's Aston Merrygold says even though both tracks were produced by the same person - Redone - the lyrics are entirely coincidental.
Speaking at the grand opening of the London M&M'S World store, in Leicester Square, he said: "It's so funny, basically, we came up with it ourselves, because they never use Africa in songs, so we did it, then it happened that Redone said, 'well - I've already used that lyric!'"

'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' star Robert will take on 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1' actor Daniel in the 'Choice Movie Actor: Sci-Fi/Fantasy' category, while their female co-stars â Kristen Stewart and Emma Watson respectively - are both up for the female version of the award.
The two films will themselves go head to head to see which will be named 'Choice Movie: Sci-Fi/Fantasy'.

Other artists in the running include London rockers The Vaccines, singer Jessie J, rapper Wretch 32, British girlband Ruff Diamondz, Nashville group Mona, singer Jamie Woon, producer Labrinth and singer/songwriter Clare Maguire.
