Pioneering rapper and graffiti artist Fab Five Freddy is launching an exhibition of his artwork in New York.
The star, who rose to fame on the hip-hop circuit in the 1980s, is putting a number of his personal canvas pieces on show in a series described as an abstract exploration of Freddy's graffiti experience as a youngster growing up in the Big Apple.
The art show at Manhattan's Gallery 151 opens on Wednesday (08Jun11) and will run until 1 July (11), reports AllHipHop.com.
