The screen star, who has undressed for the cameras in films like THE PILLOW BOOK and Trainspotting, deems the grittiness of the movie more accessible than Hollywood-style love scenes.
He says, "The scenes in Young Adam are quite hardcore and I think that's a good thing, that gone are the kind of Eighties glistening body-f*** scenes in Hollywood where everybody comes together. That's not my experience in the real world.
"What we were trying to do was to make them realistic so they're often messy or quick, or clumsy and dirty and disgusting."17/09/2003 21:17
