EMMY-winning sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond is facing an uncertain future - it will only return for a ninth season if lead actor RAY ROMANO signs on.
The show - which charts the trials and tribulations of squabbling Barone family - took home an incredible four gongs at this year's Emmy ceremony (03) but the acclaim hasn't guaranteed it will live on past the current season.
And cast member Brad Garrett, who plays Ray's envious brother ROBERT in the show, has stated that only Romano stands in the way of a return to the hit formula.
He says, "It's really up to Ray - Mr Big Shot. They'll pull up the truck and he'll say, 'OK.'
"Ray says if we don't do another year I'm more than welcome to work the gift shop at his house."02/12/2003 02:25
