Actress Eva Mendes has entered a rehabilitation clinic in Utah, according to US reports.
People magazine says the 33-year-old has checked into the Cirque Lodge centre, the same facility in which fellow Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan was treated last year.
Her publicist Brad Cafarelli did not confirm the reports but said Mendes was taking a break from work to "attend to some personal issues".
Mendes starred in four films in 2007, including We Own the Night and Ghost Rider and had recently completed work on The Spirit and The Women.
"Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support," Cafarelli told People.
"Out of respect for Eva's privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details."
The Cuban-American star of Hitch was named as the new face of Calvin Klein Fragrances, on the same day as reports of her admission to rehab.
Her work for the fashion giant will see following in the footsteps of the likes of Kate Moss, Christy Turlington, Scarlett Johansson and Natalia Vodianova.
A statement issued by the company said: "We support Eva during this difficult time and respect her decision to seek professional help."
