Actress Eva Longoria has complete faith in the success of Internet dating - one of her girlfriends is set to marry a man she met online this year (13).
The Desperate Housewives star, who is producing new dating reality show Ready for Love, reveals her pal found her soulmate after signing up to Match.com, and now the happy couple is preparing to walk down the aisle.
She says, "My girlfriend went on Match.com, (and) she's getting married this year... They're perfectly matched for each other; they're really a great couple."
However, Longoria - whose second marriage to basketball star Tony Parker ended in divorce in 2010 - has no intention of following her friend's lead and subscribing to a matchmaking service, because she fears men would only be interested in her celebrity.
So she relies on her close circle of friends to set her up on romantic rendezvous.
The single star tells U.S. talk show host Jay Leno, "I feel like the matchmaker would maybe be like, 'Hey, it's Eva Longoria', as opposed to, 'There's this great girl', whereas my friends, who know me, will be like, 'There's this girl, she's really fun...'"
The actress knows exactly what she's looking for in her ideal man, listing the top qualities as: "Funny. I love a good vocabulary, a good vernacular... Compassionate to the world."
