Actress Eva Longoria was honoured for her contribution to the Latino community at the Hispanic Heritage Awards ceremony on Thursday night (05Sep13).
The Desperate Housewives star was handed the Community Service Award during the prizegiving at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
Longoria was presented with a medal, which she proudly displayed on a ribbon around her neck. She was given the award for her charity work and activism.
Other honourees at the event included actor Diego Luna, Mexican singer Lucero and musicians Los Tigres Del Norte.
