MY NAME IS EARL star Ethan Suplee has launched a campaign to save the quirky U.S. sitcom - days after it was axed by the NBC TV network.
The comedy has been cancelled four years into its run and Suplee, who plays buffoon Randy, is disappointed by the news.
Now the actor has decided to take action - urging fans of the show to sign a petition to have save the programme.
Suplee has posted a link on his internet page directing fans to the website of rival network Fox - asking them to "Save Earl" by pestering TV bosses into picking up the series.
