Actor Eric Mccormack is urging TV bosses to commission more series of his hit sitcom WILL + Grace, because "there's a lot of gay to go around".

The funnyman - who plays a homosexual lawyer on the show - is currently hard at work shooting scenes for the forthcoming seventh series of the popular comedy.

And McCormack is convinced American TV audiences have an insatiable appetite for watching his effeminate onscreen antics - so he's calling on network bosses to greenlight further episodes.

He says, "There's a lot of gay to go around. We love the show and really hope we can come back for at least one more (series). We really hope we can continue."
