Veteran British comedian Eric Idle is writing the foreword to a "recently discovered" autobiography by his late actor friend Marty Feldman.

Feldman, who worked with members of Idle's Monty Python comedy group, died in Mexico in 1982 after suffering a heart attack, aged just 48.

Now, more than 30 years after his passing, a book Feldman wrote about his life is set for release, and Idle is working on a note to feature at the beginning of the tome.

In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "I'm writing a foreword to a recently discovered autobiography by Marty Feldman and I'm wondering do you remember Marty? Like? love? Unsure?"
