Italian opera star Enzo Stuarti died of heart failure in Midland, Texas, on Friday (16DEC05). He was 86.
The stage and TV singer appeared in over a dozen Broadway, New York musicals, including AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, SOUTH PACIFIC and Kiss Me Kate.
Stuarti's vocals were well-recognised thanks to his singing on the Ragu spaghetti sauce advertisements.
His son says, "Those commercials helped his fame."
Stuarti has lived in Midland since 2004, with his Texan second wife THELMA.
