Swedish singer Loreen stormed to victory at the Eurovision Song Contest in Azerbaijan on Saturday night (26May12) as the U.K.'s entry Engelbert Humperdinck scraped in second to last.
The star took first place with her hit dance track Euphoria, seeing off competition from Russia's Buranovskiye Babushki, a group of pensioners nicknamed the Buranovo Grannies.
It wasn't such a good night for veteran star Humperdinck, who was placed second to bottom with his track Love Will Set You Free, which garnered just 12 points overall.
However, The Last Waltz singer managed to remain upbeat despite the dismal placing, saying, "I've had many highs in my career and Eurovision has been a wonderful experience. I want to thank everybody, especially my fans around the world for their words of support. I did the best for my country, the rest was out of my hands."
