Emma Watson was excited about her glamorous 'The Bling Ring' costume.

The 23-year-old actress had no problem ditching her sophisticated style for a more materialistic look to play fame-obsessed Nicki in Sofia Coppola's new film, and even volunteered to wear her own off-duty clothes for the role.

Costume designer Stacey Battat told New York Magazine: ''We had a lot of fun creating Nicki. Emma was really excited to wear her Juicy sweatsuits - and she also wore Uggs, which I think was a very LA thing at that time.''

Due to the high profile nature of the film, which is based on the real-life antics of a group of youths who robbed celebrity's homes in the Hollywood Hills, top designers were happy to provide hundreds of clothes samples to give the set an authentic feel.

Stacey added: ''They went to celebrities' houses - Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox - so we wanted the closets to look all like they were full of stuff.

''Dior let us borrow tons of samples, we had hundreds of Dior bags, Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana. [The brands] let us keep our samples for a long time so that we could really have it feel authentic and rich.''
