It is believed the hackers retaliated after Watson gave a rousing speech in New York over the weekend as part of her role as UN Women Goodwill ambassador. The actress spoke out about the leaking of intimate photographs of Jennifer Lawrence and others.

Now, a site reportedly created by members of internet forum 4Chan, shows an image of Watson wiping away a tear from her eye. A digital timer counts down the seconds. "Never forget, the biggest to come thus far" reads a message at the bottom of the screen.

"It is real and going to happen this weekend. That feminist bitch Emma is going to show the world she is as much of a whore as any woman," said another.

The original list had also included Jessica Brown Findlay, Mary E Winstead, Cara Delevingne, Selena Gomez , Kate Bosworth, Selena Gomez, Kirsten Dunst and Kaley Cuoco.
