Emma Stone is to star in Cameron Crowe's forthcoming as-yet untitled romantic comedy movie, which is expected to be similar to his Oscar-winning films 'Jerry Maguire' and 'Almost Famous'.
The motion picture is expected to be similar to Cameron's Oscar-winning movies, 1996's rom-com 'Jerry Maguire' - which starred Tom Cruise and saw Cuba Gooding Jr. pick up an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor - and 2000 comedy-drama 'Almost Famous', Deadline reports.
Scott Rudin is to produce the film, which is rumoured to be a rewrite of Cameron's previously shelved project 'Deep Tiki', which he planned to make after 2005's 'Elizabethtown'.
It won't be the first time Emma has teamed up with Sony after making her film debut in 2007's 'Superbad' and she went on to star in 'The House Bunny', 'Zombieland', 'Easy A' and 'Friends With Benefits'.
The blonde beauty's latest major blockbuster sees her star in 'The Amazing Spider-Man' as Gwen Stacy, the love interest of her off-screen boyfriend Andrew Garfield's character Peter Parker/Spider-Man - and Emma recently admitted she had ''instant chemistry'' with Andrew on the set of the film.
She told BANG Showbiz: ''It was really great to work with Andrew. We just had instant chemistry as soon as we were on set and I think it was great to be able to build that relationship.
''I only seem to work with hot men!''
