It’s kind of a given in showbiz that fading celebs will do pretty much anything to inspire shock, awe and the occasional dollar flying their way. Enter Eminem and his recent string of rather violent, offensively unfunny lyrics directed at his fellow musicians of the female variety.  After Lana Del Rey, Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea was the latest to come under fire, with Shady’s latest leaked track, Vegas, featuring the following disturbing lyrics (trigger warning applies): Put that shit away Iggy/ You don't wanna blow that rape whistle on me.

Eminem
I know he has an album to promote, but was that really necessary?

The lyrics come just days after Eminem threatened to punch Lana Del Rey in the face in his freestyle rap video SHADYXVTHE CXVPHER off his upcoming Shady XV compilation album.

For her part, Iggy wasn’t too impressed – or impressed at all, actually. After the song leaked, the Aussie rapper tweeted: "I’m bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. zzzz,"

Now, I’m not the biggest Iggy fan, but this has to be said: she won that round by a mile. For the record, Eminem, aka Marshall Mathers III, is 43, while I-G-G-Y is only 24. So it the comment, besides being an epic burn, was quite spot on.

Now it’s true that Iggy has an estimated net worth of just $6 million to Eminem’s $170 (according to rumours/CelebrityNetWorth.com), but given his two decade head start, I’d say she’s making some pretty strong headway.

"It’s especially awkward because my 14 year old brother is the biggest eminem fan and now the artist he admired says he wants to rape me. nice!" she continued. "Women in music have the bigger balls anyhow we endure much more harassment and critic."

What’s with Iggy and all the truth bombs lately?
