Rap superstar Eminem set the stage alight at the 2011 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Tennessee on Saturday (11Jun11) as he made a triumphant debut at the event to the screams of 80,000 fans.
The hip-hop star headlined the third night of the four-day festival, which kicked off in Manchester on Thursday (09Jun11), taking the main stage following a performance by the reunited Buffalo Springfield with Neil Young and Stephen Stills.
Eminem tore through a slew of his hits, including recent releases Love The Way You Lie and Airplanes, Part II, during his 90-minute performance, which featured bright pyrotechnics to light up the event.
He also showed off tracks from his forthcoming Bad Meets Evil album, Hell: The Sequel, his project with longtime pal Royce Da 5'9, who joined Eminem and his D12 bandmate Mr. Porter on stage.
Eminem then thanked the audience for their support and brought his energetic set to a close with Not Afraid, before performing a rousing encore of his smash hit, Lose Yourself.
His performance capped off a day of musical highlights - British folk act Mumford & Sons, the Black Keys and rapper Wiz Khalifa all took to the stage throughout the course of the day.
Arcade Fire and Lil Wayne headlined Friday night's festivities, while Robert Plant and The Strokes are among the top artists performing on Sunday (12Jun11).
