Thousands of protestors marched on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. on Thursday to protest Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination.
Comedian and actress Amy Schumer was among of the number of people arrested during a protest against the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court this week.
On Thursday (October 4th), thousands of mainly female protestors descended on America’s capital Washington D.C. to march against Kavanaugh’s highly controversial appointment by president Donald Trump as a conservative nomination to the Supreme Court, in light of a number of women coming forward to claim that he had sexually assaulted them in the past.
Starting at the appeals court where Kavanaugh currently works, protestors marched on Capitol Hill and the Supreme Court, chanting “Kavanaugh has got to go!”

The luxury Fyre Festival, on a private island in the Bahamas, has turned into a disaster amid cancelled flights and appalling organisation, it has been widely reported.
The Ministry of Tourism of Bahamas has issued a “heartfelt apology” after the luxury Fyre Festival, co-organised by rap star Ja Rule, was cancelled this week, leaving angry music fans who had paid up to $12,000 per ticket stranded on the island amid cancelled flights and shambolic organisation.
Furious ticket holders have bombarded social media since arriving on the Caribbean island this week, expressing their outrage at finding discarded rubbish, wild dogs, cancelled flights, lack of security, poor quality food, half-built infrastructure and general chaos when they had been promised a luxury VIP festival of music, arts and food.

Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski has hit out at a photographer who has published nude images of her from a shoot that took place four years ago in a new photography book, describing the publication as a “violation”.
Photographer Jonathan Leder, based in New York, has recently published an exhibition catalogue which features intimate poses struck by several models he’s worked with in the past. According to Page Six, Leder published this book originally more than a year ago, but is planning to release a longer, special-edition version of the book in the near future.

The actress and the reality star united after Piers Morgan had criticised Kim for posting a naked selfie.
Emily Ratajkowski has described how she united with Kim Kardashian in March to pose for a naked selfie, after she defended Kim during a twitter spat with Piers Morgan. The actress was interview by Naomi Wolf for this month’s Harper’s Bazaar magazine, in which she posed naked as Lady Godiva for the cover.
Ratajkowski appeared nude, riding a horse, on the August edition of Harper's Bazaar this week.
Emily Ratajkowski and Piers Morgan have exchanged blows on Twitter once again, after the British journalist criticised her for doing a nude photoshoot for the latest edition of Harper’s Bazaar magazine.
Ratajkowski appears totally naked astride a white horse on the front cover of August’s edition of the magazine, responded to a seemingly flippant remark that Morgan made shortly after the Bazaar image was published on Thursday (July 7th).
“Do you want me to buy you some clothes? You look freezing,” he wrote. “I don't need clothes as much as you need press,” the model replied almost instantly. Ha-burn!
Morgan reacted to Kim's latest selfie stunt with dismay, writing "RIP feminism" in a tweet contrasting the pic with portrait of Emmeline Pankhurst.
Never short of an opinion or two at any given moment, British presenter Piers Morgan has lamented the joint topless selfie taken by Kim Kardashian and Emily Ratajkowski and declared that feminism is dead.
Morgan took to Twitter on Wednesday (March 30th) after the model and actress posted a nude photo of themselves flipping off the camera without their shirts on. “RIP feminism” wrote the presenter, sharing a black-and-white portrait of Suffragette leader Emmeline Pankhurst contrasted with the selfie.

The British model and actress has previously admitted that she was reluctant at first to star in the video.
Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski has spoken once more about her role in the controversial video for ‘Blurred Lines’, the Robin Thicke single that helped her to stardom, calling it “the bane of my existence”.
In a new interview with InStyle magazine, the 24 year old said: “Anyone comes up to me about ‘Blurred Lines’, I’m like, ‘Are we seriously talking about a video from three years ago?’” Ratajkowski has since scored roles in Gone Girl and Zac Efron’s recent EDM flick We Are Your Friends, as well as a cameo in the Entourage movie in which she stars as herself.

'We Are Your Friends' takes just $1.8 million, the worst commercial performance of any movie in Efron's career.
Zac Efron’s latest movie has suffered the worst opening weekend for a movie featuring in more than 2,000 cinemas in American history. We Are Your Friends, in which Efron stars as a young DJ struggling to make it in the EDM scene, took just $1.8 million from its showings in 2,333 locations across the U.S., making it the worst opening weekend ever, not adjusting for inflation.
Warner Bros. studio paid $2 million to distribute the movie, which is directed by Max Joseph and also features Wes Bentley and Emily Ratajkowski, across North America on behalf of Working Title Films and StudioCanal. This is a very modest outlay, but tracking had indicated that they were hoping for an opening in the region of $8 million given Efron’s presence, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Zac Efron and Emily Ratajkowski, co-stars in 'We Are Your Friends'
While talking about his new drama We Are Your Friends, Zac Efron has been unusually thoughtful.
Clearly, playing an aspiring DJ touched a nerve with the 27-year-old actor, whose career began as the singing-dancing star of High School Musical and Hairspray.
He remembers his introduction to We Are Your Friends, watching a sizzle reel before he even read the script. "I think what was on my mind at that moment, and what's always on my mind when I first meet for a project, is what does it mean to me," he says. "I was just caught up in how much I was really engaged with the material. And that's always scary, because it feels like you might be committing to something."

And this feeling of connection continued into the production. "While we were making the movie, I knew that we were telling a story that I just knew," he says. "It represented what I was going through at a certain time of my life. I just hope it means something to a lot of people."
