Scottish singer Emeli Sande has hit back at Noel Gallagher after he accused her of making "music for grannies".
The former Oasis frontman blasted the latest crop of up-and-coming pop stars this week (begs11Mar13), slamming Sande, Paloma Faith, Ed Sheeran, and Mumford & Sons.
In an interview with ShortList magazine, he fumed, "You look at the 'best' now. Paloma Faith? Do me a favour. Who's f**king decided she's a star? Emeli Sande? That is f**king music for grannies. I don't get it."
But Sande has wasted no time in hitting back at the veteran rocker with a cheeky dig - she posted a photograph on Twitter.com of an elderly woman flipping her middle finger at the camera, alongside the message, "Thanks Noel."
