LeGault died at his home in Los Angeles on 10 September (12), according to trade publication Variety.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois and began working at an early age to help his struggling family make ends meet. He later earned a business degree from The Municipal University of Wichita, Kansas, and was lured into the movie business after being hired to complete several scenes for The King in Girls! Girls! Girls!, Kissin' Cousins, Viva Las Vegas, and Roustabout.
Throughout his career, LeGault also played a character actor in several hit U.S. TV shows, including The A-Team, Knight Rider, Dallas, Dynasty, Magnum, P.I., Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Stripes.
His movie credits include Coma, starring Michael Douglas, and Catch My Soul, directed by Braveheart filmmaker Patrick MCGoohan.
