tsunami charity single.
The eclectic group - who are collaborating to cover Eric Clapton's tragic
ode to his dead son TEARS IN HEAVEN - will also feature contributions from
father and daughter Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne, rock couple Gwen Stefani and GAVIN
Aerosmith's Steve Tyler, Phil Collins, Josh Groban and opera tenor ANDREA
Rock band VELVET REVOLVER - comprising former GUNS N' ROSES stars Slash,
Matt Sorum and DUFF McKAGAN - are on board to provide the music for the
The track will be recorded today and tomorrow (21JAN05) at Whitfield
Studios in London, with further recording taking place next week (begs23JAN05)
in Los Angeles.
And rock matriarch Sharon has praised the efforts of the musicians who
have given up their time to help alleviate the troubles facing the survivors of
the 26 December (04) killer wave in the Indian Ocean region.
She says, "Everyone has come together for this project and offered their
time and full commitment without question."
