SIR Elton John and partner David Furnish insist they are thrilled with married life and plan to celebrate their upcoming one-year anniversary in Italy. John, 59, and Furnish, 44, tied the knot on 21 December 2005 - the first day same-sex marriages were made legal in the UK - before honeymooning at their canalside palazzo in Venice. The singer tells American publication People, "This year has gone so quickly and it has been a great year for us. "We feel great and we're going to Venice to celebrate our anniversary and have a very quiet dinner together. We're very happy." The couple recently collaborated on the film project, IT'S A BOY GIRL THING, a comedy about teenagers who find they've swapped bodies. Furnish, who co-produced the film with John, adds, "(We're) very content and very nicely settled."
