Elton John has lined up a full symphony orchestra to help him send a love letter to New York during a five-night stint at Radio City Music Hall in July (04).

The CROCODILE ROCK singer will also team up with a choir consisting of students from London's ROYAL ACADEMY OF MUSIC and New York's JUILLIARD SCHOOL for the big nights.

The concerts - the first time Elton has played with a full orchestra in America - will be recorded by American cable company BRAVO for broadcast later this year (04).

And Elton is looking forward to teaming up with the Royal Academy singers, because he is an alumnus of the school.

He says, "My time there was absolutely valuable to my career. I learned the rudiments of music. I sang in the choir, which was a joyous experience. And I made a lot of friends who worked on my records."
