A book of photographs paying tribute to late singer/songwriter Elliott Smith will be released later this year (07). The book, called Elliott Smith, is a collection of over 200 pages of photos taken by Autumn De Wilde, who shot the cover to Smith's 2000 album Figure 8. It will also contain handwritten lyrics, a five song CD featuring acoustic live performances, and interviews with producer Jon Brion, musicians Sam Coomes and Matthew Caws, friend Ben Gibbard and Smith's sister Ashley Welch. Elliott Smith is set for release in November (07). Proceeds will be donated to charities the SIMS Foundation, which raises money for mental health care for musicians, and Outside In, a Portland, Oregon homeless youth organisation.
