It seems Ellie Goulding is the latest member of Taylor Swift's gang of besties as joins Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Haim for an exclusive 'girl popstars only' tea party - and, according to Instagram, she really can't believe her luck.

The 'Love Me like You Do' hitmaker has found a new buddy in Taylor Swift, who probably has one of the most sought after phonebooks in the music industry. Not only has she been rubbing shoulders with the likes of Hozier and Calvin Harris recently (resulting in a series of unwarranted romance rumours), it seems Swift is equally keen to embrace her girlfriends.

Long term friends with Selena Gomez, her appearance at this tea party wasn't surprising, but LA sisters Este and Alana from Haim and Goulding were new ones for us. The union appeared to be in celebration of International Women's Day, which took place on Sunday (March 8th 2015). In a Twitter post, Swift posted a picture with the caption: 'We are at our best when we cheer each other on and build each other up. Happy International Women's Day.'

Goulding posted a different picture on her Instagram, looking a little giggly and clutching a glass of wine whilst seemingly being entertained by Swift. Apparently thrilled to be in the company of such stars, she captioned it: 'Well this is bloody CHILL'.

They weren't the only female celebrities celebrating this important day of feminism, however. Emma Watson took the opportunity to promote her He For She campaign with a live Q&A session which was broadcast live from London on Facebook.
