Ellie Goulding was a bit thrown at having to deny that she is pregnant with Prince Harry’s baby, in an awkward line of questioning during an appearance on Australian television.

The 29 year old singer appeared on ‘The Project’, where she’s promoting a stand-alone single that appears on the soundtrack to the new movie Bridget Jones’s Baby. The show’s presenter asked her if she related more to Bridget or Fifty Shades of Grey’s Anastasia Steele – as one of her songs also appeared on the soundtrack to that movie.

“I'm more of a Bridget really… Ideally neither,” she replied. “I'm definitely more of a Bridget, especially in the latest film, she's very relatable to me and drinks like a fish.”

The presenter then decided to use this to quiz Ellie about her relationship to 32 year old Prince Harry, with whom she was romantically linked earlier this year after they were spotted looking intimate with each other at a polo match.

“You're not having a baby, though? Just to be clear,” the presenter said, to which Ellie replied: “I'm not having a baby anytime soon.”

Co-presenter Carrie Bickmore then decided to bluntly ask if she's having if she was expecting a royal baby. “Not having a baby with Prince Harry either, yeah?”

Clearly getting a bit embarrassed but handling it expertly, Ellie laughed: “Please don't make me go red. I'm bright red. Why did I have a feeling that was going to come up? Naughty people!”

At the time of the rumours, Goulding insisted that she and the Prince are just friends. “They kissed but it was fun and flirty,” a source close to the English singer said. “They spent the whole time playing up to friends and having a giggle together there. He loves her company and always says she's a breath of fresh air.”
