The 'Burn' hitmaker was recently spotted kissing the One Direction heart throb and she insisted she doesn't want to open up about her ''love life'' because it has caused problems in the past.
Asked about their romance, she laughed: ''Oh God, I knew this was coming!
''I just can't talk about Niall. I won't ever talk about my love life any more because it's always then gone wrong when I have in the past.''
As with any woman attached to a member of the 'Best Song Ever' boy band, Ellie will attract the jealous of many fans - but she claimed she is able to take it in her stride.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper ''I've definitely had some 'interesting' tweets since the story came out.
''Thankfully I'm able to take it all with a pinch of salt because I've been told to be that way.
''I genuinely mean this - I don't hate on anyone, but at least One Direction fans are very passionate and my fans are very passionate too. I'd hate it if people didn't care about what they thought.''
The couple won't be getting to spend much time apart though, as Niall is currently on tour in the US with his band mates - and the group recently spent £10,000 to fly in their personal trainer Mark Jarvis.
Mark's manager Ramzy Khachnik told the Daily Star newspaper: ''They wanted him to get on the next plane, so they laid on a jet for him.
''It's incredible how much they want to build up their bodies ... They didn't mind splashing out to get him there. The lads have told Mark he's crucial to their future.''
Corgan took to Instagram to confirm rumours of new Pumpkins material, saying the first songs could arrive as early as May.
