Oscar nominee Ellen Page has pulled out of Sam Raimi's upcoming horror film Drag Me to Hell, it has been reported.
Both Variety and the Hollywood Reporter say the 21-year-old actress has withdrawn from the movie because of scheduling problems.
Filming on Drag Me to Hell, being written by Spider-Man director Raimi and his brother Ivan, was recently put back two weeks to March 31st.
A statement from producers Ghost House and Mandate quoted by the trade papers said: "We were racing to start production so that we could accommodate Ellen's schedule.
"But like so many other productions trying to start before the potential [Screen Actors Guild] strike date, this one needed more time, and we had to push back the start of production."
Page has become one of Hollywood's most sought-after stars since her Academy award-nominated lead role in teen pregnancy comedy Juno.
Her next appearance will be alongside Dennis Quaid and Sarah Jessica Parker in comedy Smart People, while she is also due to star in psychological thriller Peacock with Cillian Murphy and in Drew Barrymore's Whip It.
As well as Juno, Page has also appeared in Hard Candy and X-Men: The Last Stand.
