Everyone was on hand to wish this national treasure a happy birthday.
It looks like Ellen Degeneres had a 60th birthday to remember with a deluge of birthday messages from her celebrity friends, and some very special surprise guests on her show. We don't know how she managed to keep it all together with all the love in the room.

First off, her opening monologue was interrupted by the unceasingly funny Sofia Vergara from 'Modern Family', who brought Ellen a much needed gift now that she was entering her OAP years; a fully-functional mobility scooter, complete with a folder of coupons.

The actress has the funniest story about her husband and meeting Ellen.
Margot Robbie has just delivered what is perhaps the most hilarious 'When I met Ellen' story ever told during her appearance on 'The Ellen Show' last week. On the other hand, it's safe to say that her husband Tom Ackerley found the whole thing less amusing.

The 'I, Tonya' star and her new husband were on a delayed honeymoon following the completion of her movie. After four days spent on a remote island in Tahiti without electricity or even mirrors, they ended the week with a stay at a luxury hotel.

Calling emergency services when it turns out there's no real emergency is one of the most embarrassing things that can happen to a person - but it certainly informed some great comedy for comedian Kumail Nanjiani, who spoke about his experience on 'The Ellen Show' this week.

The 'Silicon Valley' star, who last year wrote and appeared in his semi-autobiographical film 'The Big Sick' last year, talks about how sometimes moments with his wife and writing partner Emily V. Gordon helps him write jokes. He opens up about one exchange in particular that took place at 4am recently.

She just doesn't have that kind of time, Eric.
Just another ridiculous statement to come out of the Trump family; Ellen Degeneres is now being accused of being a part of a secret government conspiracy called the 'Deep State', just because she popped up on Eric Trump's Twitter suggestions. But the comedian is way too busy with her gay agenda and illuminati meetings.

When Ellen found that she was trending on Twitter yesterday (January 3rd 2018), she thought people were just raving about her new series 'Ellen's Game Of Games'. They were, of course, but they were also discussing Eric Trump's screenshot which featured Ellen, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton as add suggestions.

The best holiday games, mostly inspired by Jimmy Fallon.
Christmastime for most people is the time of year when you get together with your whole family, exchange gifts, eat yourselves stupid, watch the same movies and, of course, play a few games. Aside from the usual charades, karaoke, Cards Against Humanity and board games, here's some super entertaining games you can play, all inspired by talk show segments.

1. Whisper Challenge: A 'Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' favourite, this one is loud and very silly. The aim of the game is to guess what phrase the challenger is saying just by reading their lips. The person guessing has to wear headphones blaring loud music so they can't hear; though of course you could just have the challenger mouthe the words instead.

DeGeneres has come under fire for a tweet she sent celebrating Katy Perry's birthday.
The daytime talk show host tweeted on Wednesday (October 25th) to wish the pop megastar a happy 33rd birthday.
“Happy birthday, @KatyPerry! It’s time to bring out the big balloons!” the 59 year old presenter wrote, captioning a picture of her gawping open-mouthed at Perry’s breasts, in an attempt at humour as it referenced the lyrics to the star’s ‘Birthday’ hit.

DeGeneres invited Megyn Kelly onto her show this week, and they discussed Donald Trump.
Ellen Degeneres has admitted that she would never Donald Trump to be a guest on her daytime talk show – because she believes that the controversial president represents a threat to the country, and to her personally.
The 59 year old chat show host Ellen had NBC’s Megyn Kelly – who was infamously a target of Trump’s presidential campaign last year – on her show on Wednesday (September 20th). She asked Kelly whether she would ever consider having Trump as a guest on her new morning show, ‘Megyn Kelly Today’, which launches next Monday.
“Definitely,” Kelly responded. “I mean, I would not say no to the sitting president of the United States.”

The stars were left mildly embarrassed by Ellen's questions.
There's nothing like a game of 'Never Have I Ever' with Ellen Degeneres to show you up if you're a celebrity, and Reese Witherspoon and Pink certainly found themselves in an embarrassing position when they realised just how squeaky clean the talk show host is.
Ellen DeGeneres at the 'Finding Dory' premiere
The singer, whose album 'Beautiful Trauma' comes out this October, and the 'Big Little Lies' actress were invited on to 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' this week to discuss their current lives and careers, and found themselves instead divulging their darkest secrets in a hilarious game of 'Never Have I Ever'. Ellen asked the questions while they all answered with a paddle reading 'I Have' on one side and 'I Have Never' on the other.
Nicki explains the 'Ellen' line to the talk show host.
For the second name in her career, Nicki Minaj has name-dropped everyone's favourite talk-show host Ellen Degeneres in her new song 'No Frauds'. Now the latter wants to know what that was all about and it seems the rapper is just 'obsessed' with being on her show.

Nicki Minaj dropped her new single 'No Frauds' featuring Lil Wayne and Drake earlier this year, and it includes the rather ambiguous line: 'I am the generous queen! Ask Ms. Ellen' which, phonetically, can also read 'I am Degeneres queen! Ask Ms. Ellen'. It seems Nicki was only too eager to explain what that line actually meant.

Johnny Depp has fun on 'The Ellen Show' during a quick-fire question round.
Ellen Degeneres seriously wasn't having it with Johnny Depp this week when he refused to answer a few of her quickfire questions honestly. Nonetheless, it was still a very entertaining segment on her show, which aired ahead of his new film 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales'.

Johnny Depp was put in the 'Hot Seat' on 'The Ellen Show' yesterday (May 18th 2017) where the talk show host went to ask him a series of random rapid-fire questions from 'what's your favourite part of your body?' to what is your favourite swear word?'

The hugely popular British series gets a US revamp and heads Stateside.
It's hard to believe, but Channel 4 series 'First Dates' has been entertaining audiences across the UK for seven seasons now since its 2013 debut, even bringing celebrities on board such as Anthea Turner and Jorgie Porter for a special batch of episodes back in 2016.

To-date, a number of couples have been formed from those who have met on the show, with one pair even enjoying a marriage proposal in a special episode aptly titled, 'The Proposal'. It's fair to say that the show has enjoyed success both in the ratings as well as with the partnerships made on the small screen.

'Billions' actor Asia Kate Dillon talks about gender identity on 'The Ellen Show'.
Showtime drama 'Billions' has proven to be quite the groundbreaking series with the inclusion of gender non-binary actor Asia Kate Dillon. The actor opened up about life as a genderqueer celebrity in an interview with Ellen Degeneres, who went to great lengths to educate viewers on this little known about topic.

Asia, who prefers to be referred to by the pronouns 'they', 'their' and 'them', was assigned female at birth, but lived their entire life in androgyny, starting with when they were just a child and wishing they could one day get to play the role of Oliver Twist.

The 2017 People's Choice Award was once again chock full of the best TV shows, movies, stars and musicians that the last year had to offer with the likes of 'Finding Dory', 'Outlander' and Britney Spears leading the winners for this year's ceremony. Ellen Degeneres made history as the entertainer who has won the most People's Choice accolades, bringing her total up to 22 with a further 3 awards.

After a trailer for the animation debuted last month many fans thought they spotted a same-sex couple, the first in Pixar’s history.
Finding Dory star Ellen Degeneres has spoken about the possibility that the animation includes Pixar’s first gay couple. DeGeneres admitted that she doesn't know herself if the characters in question are lesbians, but she welcomes the conversation about inclusion as a "a great thing."
Ellen DeGeneres has spoken about the rumours that Finding Dory includes a same-sex couple.
Speaking at a recent press conference in Beverly Hills DeGeneres said: "I personally think it's a great thing. I think everything that we see in the media – whether it's television or film or anything you see – should represent everything that's happening in the world. I think everybody that is in the world should be seen and represented."

Dory's past has always eluded her, she's a little forgetful fish whose bright character and warm heart make up for all the times she's got herself - and her friends - into trouble. Dory lives with Marlin and Nemo but now she wants to go out and find her real parents. Before she can begin her real adventure, Dory finds herself being scooped up and taken to a marine institute. Whilst in quarantine, Dory meets a whole host of new friends who instantly take to the little blue tang. Hank, the octopus, Bailey the white beluga whale and Destiny the whale shark are just a few creatures who will help her.
For Dory, her mission is quite clear, she must escape the confines of her new home and return to the ocean to find her family - whilst hopefully finding Marlin and Nemo once again too. Dory's new friends in the institute are eager to help Dory out however they can.
Finding Dory is the 2016 follow-up to the 2003 film Finding Nemo. Like the first film, it was written and directed by Andrew Stanton but this time directorial duties are in partnership with Angus MacLane.
More characters we can't wait to fall in love with.
'Finding Dory' is definitely on the way now, and with it a whole host of lovable new characters. It takes place just a year after the events of 'Finding Nemo', even if it's taken more than ten years for this sequel to finally arrive. We're sure it'll be worth the wait.
Squirt the little sea turtle
Directed by Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLane, 'Finding Dory' is set to arrive on June 17th 2016. While it was disappointing to learn that we won't be hearing Michael Sheen's voice in the movie after all since he was edited out of the final cut, the new characters that did make it are still inescapably awesome.
What's behind her love of sharks and whales?
'Finding Dory' is the sequel every Disney fan has been waiting for since news that one might be made started circling. After 'Finding Nemo', it was the forgetful fish that everybody remembered (ironically) and so it's great to finally see her back story come to life - and you may notice that there are a few clues to her past in the original film.
Ellen Degeneres reprises her role as Dory in the upcoming sequel
The majority of memorable quotes from 'Finding Nemo' come from Ellen Degeneres' lovable Pacific regal blue tang fish. The reason why might be because there's always been an air of mystery about her; she acts in ways thought very unusual by other fish and never fails to confuse companion Marlin with her dangerous actions and unreliable nature.
