Horror director Eli Roth decided to become a filmmaker after throwing up during a childhood visit to the cinema to watch ALIEN. Roth, best known for his two graphic Hostel movies, was just seven years old when his parents took him to watch Ridley Scott's classic 1979 film. The experience left the now 35-year-old Roth certain he wanted to work in cinema. He says, "That was the one. I left there and knew that was what I wanted to be when I grew up. It sort of took over my life."
