Actors Eli Roth and OMAR DOOM escaped with their lives on the set of Quentin Tarantino's new war movie INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS, when a fire stunt went wrong and almost burned them alive.
The stars had to don flame-proof suits for one scene in which their characters are trapped in a blazing building, but the shoot came close to turning into a tragedy when the fire raged out of control.
The pair escaped with minor burns to their faces and hands, but Roth admits it could have been a lot worse.
He tells MTV.com, "If we'd been there another 10 seconds, they said the ceiling would have collapsed on us."
The movie, which also stars Brad Pitt, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France last week (ends22May09).
