Elbow bassist PETE TURNER was forced to wear his guitar extra-low for the band's new promo - to hide a damp patch after he soiled his pants.
The musician headed for a bathroom break before the cameras began rolling on the set of the video for Neat Little Rows, but his poor hygiene left a tell-tale stain on the front of his trousers.
His amused bandmates immediately noticed the wet spot - and ordered him to cover it up with his instrument.
According to Q magazine, just seconds before the director called "action", a make-up lady onset asked the band, "His guitar will go over it, won't it? Does he wear it that low?"
Keyboardist Craig Potter replied, "He will do now."
