Veteran British actor Edward Fox is delighted he is popular among the political elite - even if his biggest fan was the late Saddam Hussein.
Fox, 68, rose to fame as the lead in the 1973 thriller The Day of the Jackal, and he revels in the fact the former Iraqi dictator once named him as his favourite star.
He says, "Did you know that was Saddam Hussein's favourite film? I was his favourite actor!
"I wished he'd asked me to his palace in Iraq. I could have advised him on matters and perhaps things would have turned out differently."
