British actor Edward Fox took to the stage with his wife JOANNA DAVID on Sunday night (25FEB07) to raise money for the restoration of his great grandfather's Royal Hall theatre, in Harrogate, northern England. The Day of the Jackal star performed in BELOVED CLARA, about a love-triangle between German composer ROBERT SCHUMANN, his wife CLARA and his contemporary JOHANNES BRAHMS. Fox's campaign has already received GBP8 million ($14.4 million) from the British Heritage Lottery Fund towards structural repairs, and supporters are now hoping to raise GBP2.2 million ($4 million) for redecoration. The Hall is scheduled to re-open in 2008.
