British rockers Editors are looking forward to the Mercury Music Prize ceremony on Tuesday (05SEP06), because they will at least enjoy a "nice dinner" at the glitzy event. Frontman TOM SMITH admits the band, nominated for their album THE BACK ROOM, aren't used to attending awards ceremonies. He says, "The album came out a long time ago so this is a nice finish. "We're looking forward to the night. I'm sure there'll be a nice dinner. We haven't been to many red carpet events so we'll be the four awkward dudes in the corner." Editors will compete with Arctic Monkeys, Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan, GUILLEMOTS, Richard Hawley, Hot Chip, Muse, ZOE RAHMAN, LOU RHODES, SCRITTI POLITTI, Sway and Thom Yorke for the GBP20,000 ($36,000) prize.
